Subaru Impreza for sale :(

April 16th, 2007 | by rob |

I’m sad to say, i’ve got to sell my most favourite toy. An absolutely awesome Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti Type-RA.

A few pics :

She’s a 1998 WRX STI Type-RA, completely standard throughout, and she’s been well looked after. No marks inside or out, it’s in excellent condition, always garaged and dry weather run (weekend car), the finish shows that she’s not had a hard life. Enthusiast owned (member of SIDC before i placed her in storage), she’s only covered 51000 miles., and only 12000 of those were mine.

Serviced what seems like every 200 yards (well so my wife wallet tells me), oil changes used only Royal Purple Racing, a di-ester based oil costing about £25 a litre. All receipts show ‘owner supplied oil’. She’s been in storage for almost 2 years, and i’ve put her back on the road to sell, freshly MOT’d and ready to go.

Some of the features ; Waterspray intercooler (auto/manual) , DCCD, Sti Quick Steer, STI/FHI carbon fibre strut braces front, std strut on rear, STI suspension, STI close/short ratio box, twin paddle ceramic competition clutch, STI fog covers, Mesh covered roof vent and a Momo Race wheel. No electrics, no sound proofing, empty body panels, aluminium boot/bonnet and seat backs. I have fitted some Infinity Series 100’s at the front and some large BullMagnat’s in the parcel shelf, but my wife’s claimed the stereo. I can put it back in to demo, but she won’t give it up. Something to do with it playing her Will Young CD without skipping.

All this is factory standard fit, the only modifications I think are the non-standard clutch and wheels, shod in 225/45/17’s Bridgestone Potenza SO1’s slipped over Anthracite Speedline’s there are no marks on the alloys, and to stop we’ve got the standard 4Pot calipers up front 2pot on the rear.

For security she has a Thatcham Cat 1 Alarm/ Immobiliser (with installer certificate) + extras.

She’s noisy, uncomfotable and has an extremely harsh ride, but with 4 doors, she makes the perfect family car, and you know your wife will love it,  although you do get some funny looks trawling for space in the Tesco car park.

This is an absolute steal at £6500 , Interested parties can email me via this blog, alternatively , on rhill03@eds.com

or contact me on 07903 185 516

/me runs off to drown myself.

Yes, the car is still for sale, but I’ve accepted an offer, and waiting for money this coming weekend. I’ll stick to my word, and sell to this buyer if he comes up with the money. If not, it’s first come first served!
